Jeff Cohn Cellars 2019 Zinfandel, "Isabel" Sweetwater Springs Vineyard, Russian River Valley
Tasting Notes:
Deep dark and mysterious in color. Aromas of very ripe blackberry, plum and raspberry that ooze from the glass and keep you coming back just for the aromatics. The palate is incredibly plush and very giving. Flavors of blackberry, black cherry, roasted earth. Very concentrated and layered but has a sense of elegance and finesse.
Awards/Notable Reviews:
94 pts Audrey Frick for Jeb Dunnuck — The aromas of the 2019 Zinfandel Sweetwater Springs Vineyard move in a more savory direction, with scorched earth, inky plum, and lavender. The palate is full and generous, offering black fruit, dark chocolate, and graphite. Drink over the next 6-8 years.
