Each varietal adds something interesting to this blend. Marsanne gives the wine roundness and weight, the roussanne gives it a sense of asian tropical fruits, the picpoul blanc a steely acid framework and the viognier a delicate wild-flower perfume.

This is a very unusual blend. The addition of the picpoul blanc for acidity and brightness along with the viognier for aromas and delicacy beginning in 2018 mark this wine as unique in California. It is a great summertime wine with its refreshing character and pretty aromas.
